Azul Mar & Dorado Buceo

The adventure begins in 2016, under the Caribbean sun. Two friends, Fernando and Manuel, acquire an exceptional plot of land just steps from the waves. Their vision was clear: to create a place to feel at home while exploring the wonders of the ocean. While Fernando built the residence, Manuel brought Dorado Buceo Caribe to life, backed by his years of experience in Veracruz with the Dorado Buceo diving center. In 2023, the project evolves and takes a new direction: Manuel and his wife Silvana take over the entire project to give life to what is now Azul Mar Diving and Lodge

We have a presence in both Puerto Morelos and Veracruz, guaranteeing quality in both destinations. In the heart of Puerto Morelos, our facilities are located side by side just one block from the beach, allowing you to enjoy the proximity of restaurants, shops, and supermarkets without the need for transportation. We are the ideal meeting point for those seeking comfort and the best dives in one single place.

You can’t beat price and location!

This is the 2nd time I have stayed here and I booked it again for next year. You can’t beat the price and the location. It is peaceful during the day and you feel a part of the community at night with the smells and music from the restaurants. The rooms are spacious and have AC. Right across from the market and a three-minute walk to the beach. The staff are wonderful and available when you need assistance.

We've stayed each year since 2017!

My wife and I just spent one month at our favorite spot, Azul Mar, in Puerto Morelos. We've stayed at Azul Mar several weeks each year since 2017 and consider it our second home! We appreciate the comfortable apartments (we've stayed in almost all of them), the well-kept grounds and surroundings, the relaxing pool, and the gracious and friendly staff. We love being part of the town and appreciate the other guests who stay there. A true community! We can't imagine staying anywhere else.
